Chris is a Founder and Partner of Fontinalis, where he is responsible for a wide range of critical processes ranging from deal sourcing and execution to corporate operations and business strategy. Chris also works in concert with Fontinalis’ portfolio companies on business development, sales and marketing initiatives.
Prior to Fontinalis, Chris worked for LaunchCapital, a venture capital firm with offices in New Haven, Cambridge and San Francisco. At Launch, Chris analyzed, evaluated and executed early-stage principal investments. Previously, Chris worked in New York as an Associate at Highbridge Principal Strategies, a multi-billion dollar private equity and mezzanine investment business within Highbridge Capital. He participated in due diligence, financial modeling and deal execution across various business sectors and types of transactions. Prior to business school, Chris worked in Wealth Management and Business Banking at UBS in New York.
Chris currently serves on the Board of Directors of seven of Fontinalis’ portfolio companies: ClimaCell, Humatics, Life360, Nano-C, SmartKargo, Synovia Solutions, and Verity Studios. He also currently serves as a Board Observer of two of Fontinalis’ portfolio companies: Hangar and SQLstream. Previously, Chris served as a Board Observer of Parkmobile (acquired by BMW Group in January 2018) and nuTonomy (acquired by Delphi/Aptiv in November 2017).
Chris earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Yale School of Management, where he graduated with distinction in venture capital and private equity and a concentration in finance and principal investing. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University, where he concentrated in history and wrote a magna cum laude thesis on disruptive technologies within the media and entertainment industry. Chris is a devoted outdoorsman and athlete with an interest in impact investing and sustainable ventures.
